TAWAU: The State Government has been urged to give full attention to land compensation and acquisition regarding the tender process for Tawau River Central Flood Mitigation Project, which is expected to be completed this month.
Sri Tanjong Assemblyman Justin Wong hopes the Government will make earnest efforts to ensure the project can be fully implemented to resolve the flood problem comprehensively.
He welcomes the plan, but hoped mistakes won’t be repeated.
“2023, the project was successfully tendered but failed to be implemented due to land acquisition constraints and other issues,” he said.
