Expressing gratitude for the generous support, Gayline said the funds would be used to enhance the hospice centre’s facilities and support its day-to-day operations.
QL Farms, a subsidiary of QL Resources Berhad, said the contribution forms part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, reflecting the group’s commitment to giving back to the local community.
Gayline said Tawau Hospice, founded in 1997, provides quality palliative care services and loans medical equipment free of charge to terminally ill patients.
“In addition to caring for cancer patients, its home care services have expanded to include non-cancer and paediatric patients.

She said members, patients and volunteers are encouraged to participate in its weekly Wednesday Hi-Tea gatherings, which feature activities such as karaoke, line dancing, physical exercises and cooking sessions at the centre, located at TB14748, Mile 3.5, Jalan James Power, off Jalan Kuhara, and operates from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm.
