She was given a briefing on the operations and strategic direction of Sedcovest, presented by the General Manager, Abd Rahim Md Zain, together with the management team of Sedcovest Holdings Sdn Bhd.
Redonah also expressed her appreciation to the Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, for the trust placed in her.
She said it was a great trust and responsibility and will work hard to ensure that Sedcovest continues to grow as a successful development company owned by the State Government.
She emphasised that inclusive economic development must begin at the grassroots level by providing entrepreneurial training opportunities, access to financing, business mentoring, and broader market access for women involved in small and medium enterprises.
This approach aligns with the Sabah State Government’s aspiration to narrow the development gap between urban and rural areas, while producing more competitive women entrepreneurs who are able to contribute significantly to local economic growth.
In addition, her commitment to empowering the economy and entrepreneurship of rural women is seen as a timely step towards more balanced, inclusive, and sustainable economic development, in line with Sabah’s state development agenda.
Redonah was also taken on a visit to business premises and facilities at the newly established Business Incubator Centre (BIC) at Anjung Selera, Teluk Likas, together with the management team.
Also present during the briefing were General Manager Abd Rahim Md Zain; Finance and Accounts Manager DK Elymanizan Pg Masri; Entrepreneur Development Manager Nor Jahan Yaakub; Human Resource Development & Administration Manager Cannisius Ebin Gon; Project & Business Development Manager Malizah Oldy; and Property Management Manager Dayang Hanizah Mohd Yusop.
