KOTA KINABALU: TC Initiative has partnered with Dapur Kita Kita to support an ongoing food programme that provides free cooked meals to those in need.
Through the collaboration, TC Initiative supplies raw food ingredients to ensure the community kitchen can operate consistently and reach more beneficiaries.

“Kota Kinabalu continues to grow and modernise, but behind the busy streets and rapid development, many families and individuals are still struggling to meet their daily needs.
“Rising living costs, irregular income, and urban poverty remain a quiet reality for sections of the city community,” said Thonny Chee, founder of TC Initiative.
Chee added that food assistance is not merely about charity but about compassion and dignity.
“Even one proper meal a day can make a meaningful difference. Sustainable solutions require cooperation between the private sector, civil society, and government agencies.
“We hope more corporations and individuals will come forward to support programmes like Dapur Kita Kita, whether through food contributions, funding, or volunteer support,” he said.
The TC Initiative focuses on human, social, education and training development, guided by the belief that long-term community well-being begins with access to basic needs, skills, education and opportunities for self-improvement.
Meanwhile, Dapur Kita Kita, founded by Datuk Jade Koh Chung, provides cooked food assistance to the homeless and individuals facing hardship in the city. Volunteers prepare and distribute free meals, offering immediate relief and a sense of dignity to vulnerable communities.
The partnership is part of TC Initiative’s broader commitment to practical, ground-level community engagement, aiming to strengthen community networks and encourage a culture of shared responsibility.
Thonny said the collaboration serves as a reminder that progress is measured not just by economic growth but by how well a city cares for those most in need.
