SANDAKAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir expressed confidence that BN can retain the Kinabatangan parliamentary and Lamag state seats through close cooperation with the Sabah state government under Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, as well as support from BN and Umno Sabah leadership.
He said BN’s machinery is generally well-prepared and organised, reflecting the understanding and coordination built through the formation of the state government.
“From the perspective of preparation, everything is progressing well. The cooperation established through the formation of the state government has built a strong understanding, and I believe this ensures smooth preparations, operational work, and efforts to secure victory,” he said.
Zambry also revealed that he recently met with Hajiji in Kuala Lumpur to discuss political collaboration between the two parties.
