Come clean on Kinarut water crisis, says Junz
Junz said the water disruptions are the result of long-standing weaknesses in planning, maintenance and infrastructure execution, which have persisted under the current administration.
KOTA KINABALU: Warisan Vice President Datuk Junz Wong called on the GRS-led State Government to be transparent about the ongoing water supply disruptions in Kinarut, instead of deflecting responsibility with unverified claims of “sabotage.”

He said residents in Kinarut and surrounding areas have endured chronic water problems for years, noting that the issue did not arise suddenly.

He said the State Government initially blamed Warisan, before shifting to the sabotage narrative when the first explanation failed to convince the public.

“First, they tried to blame Warisan. When that narrative failed to pacify residents who have been suffering for years, suddenly we hear talk of ‘sabotage’. Sabahans are not that easily misled,” he said in a statement, Monday.
