LABUAN: The Chinese Chamber of Commerce here hopes the impending visit by Federal Territories Minister Hannah Yeoh will herald better times for Labuan.
Chamber Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii noted that Hannah is known for her “ bold and firm” management style both as the first woman Speaker of the Selangor Legislative Assembly and Sports Minister.
Hannah was appointed following a Federal Cabinet reshuffle last December.
“We do not expect overnight changes as Labuan’s challenges are multiple but with the right decisions the island can slowly move out of its current economic predicament,” said Wong.
