He said the move, which has been agreed by Minister Datuk James Ratib, is in line with current educational needs and the rapid development of technology, including science, technology and innovation.
“With MPPS, principals, headmasters and teachers, among others, will have an avenue to channel their complaints related to education matters that will be attended accordingly.
“Through MPPS which is proposed to be chaired by the Minister, any complaint would be heard and looked into and subsequently conveyed to the Federal Ministry for further action,” he said.
Jordan who is also Tulid Assemblyman said this after meeting with educators from the Tulid and Sook constituencies, recently.
MPPS, he said, could also serve as a body to provide small-scale infrastructure assistance such as chairs, tables and basic school necessities that can be mobilised throughout Sabah.
Jordan also said MPPS would function as a medium to examine various issues, challenges and proposals for improving Sabah’s education system, while ensuring that access to quality education can be enjoyed by all segments of society.
In a related development, he hopes the use of smart boards can be implemented in schools across Sabah, in line with advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology, to enhance the effectiveness and interactivity of teaching and learning processes.
He said this would not only attract students’ interest but also help teachers deliver learning content in a more creative, dynamic manner that is aligned with current educational needs.
