KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Youth Council aims for 40 per cent youth participation in clubs, associations, and volunteer programs next year, up from the current 15 per cent.

“Achieving this target requires expanding grassroots programs and strong government financial support.

"We hope this will nurture the potential of Sabah’s youth,” said its president Abqaree Fawwaz Abekan.

The Council oversees 19 youth organizations in the state, including scouting, girls and boys brigades, and Islamic youth movements.
