Sarawak’s Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, said the achievement reflects the state’s bold ideas, innovation, and readiness to welcome global travellers.
“It signals the momentum Sarawak is building as we prepare to step into 2026,” he was quoted by the Sarawak Tribune.
The record-setting drone will traverse Sarawak’s major landmarks and diverse landscapes, symbolising the state’s drive to lead through technology and forward-looking initiatives.
The New Year’s Eve celebration will feature local, national, and international performances, culminating in a midnight musical fireworks display.
