He said coordinated operations involving the Malaysian Armed Forces, the police and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) will continue throughout the election period to maintain a calm and orderly environment.
“Do not worry and carry out responsibilities without concern for safety,” he said, when met during the Handover Ceremony of Esscom Strategic Store at Batalion 17 of General Operation Force, Tuesday.
Also present was Esscom Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Dr. Jamaluddin Ali.
Speaking about the facility which completed by Sabah-based contractors, Victor said the newly upgraded strategic storage facility aims to strengthen operational readiness in the ESS Zone by allowing faster and more efficient deployment of key assets.
The facility, completed with an allocation of RM288,388 under the Ministry of Home Affairs, enables essential equipment to be positioned away from office premises and readily available for joint operations.
The project, implemented under Phase Two of Esscom’s development plan, provides dedicated infrastructure and equipment to house tactical and strategic assets for Esscom personnel and partner security agencies operating on land, at sea and in the air.
“The facility also proved government’s commitment to further strengthen national security assets, increase security forces’ tactical power and ensuring the sovereignty as well as security remain protected,” he added.
