PENAMPANG: Warisan Sabah Treasurer General Terrence Siambun (pic) reminded Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan to find ways to rejuvenate the tourism industry in Malaysia, particularly Sabah, instead of accusing Warisan as being pro-PTI.

He said if Dr Jeffrey is more interested in talking politics than promote Sabah as a tourism destination, then he should let go the post.
“Maybe he doesn’t know that his monthly salary as the Deputy Tourism Minister actually derived partly from the individual and corporate taxes and duties paid by Sabahan tourist guides and travel agencies during the previous years, who are now beaten down to the ground because of Covid-19. These people are desperately hoping for him to deliver something from the Federal to rejuvenate Sabah’s tourism industry.
Siambun said the State Government is doing as much as it can to resuscitate the industry but, it will be even better if Dr Jeffrey can use his connection with Umno to get something special with regards to the industry in Sabah.
“On the IMM13 proposal, Siambun said,Dr Jeffrey was one of the first Sabahan leaders who stood up to support the proposal (IMM13) right after Hamzah Zainudin announced it despite saying something different early this year.
