Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian students aspiring to pursue undergraduate studies have until April 30 to apply for the YTL Foundation Scholarship 2026.

Successful recipients will receive full tuition coverage, living allowances and paid internship placements within one of the country’s leading corporate groups.

YTL Foundation Programme Director Datuk Kathleen Chew said the programme is designed to develop students beyond academic excellence.

“At YTL Foundation, our focus is on nurturing well-rounded individuals by providing not only access to education, but also the guidance, exposure and values needed to grow into responsible leaders.

“Through our scholarship programme, we aim to empower talented Malaysians to realise their potential and contribute meaningfully to the future of our nation,” she said.

The scholarship, which has been running since 1997, is open to Malaysian students with qualifications such as SPM, STPM, A-Levels, Matriculation, Foundation and the International Baccalaureate. Applicants must be enrolling in a full-time undergraduate programme at a Malaysian institution.

Beyond financial assistance, scholars will gain access to structured leadership and personal development programmes, mentorship and coaching, as well as annual paid internships within YTL Group, a Bursa Malaysia Top 20 company.

Support packages also include allowances for a laptop and phone or data plan.

Candidates are assessed based on academic performance, leadership potential and financial need.

Each year, one outstanding scholar may also be selected for the Yeoh Tiong Lay Award, a prestigious overseas scholarship that honours the legacy of the late Tan Sri Dr Yeoh Tiong Lay.

The award recognises a candidate who demonstrates exceptional character, altruism, community engagement and academic achievement.

To assist prospective applicants, YTL Foundation will hold a series of online information sessions throughout March and April.

The sessions will cover scholarship types, the application and selection process, and tips for submitting a strong application. Current scholars will also share their experiences.

Further details and the application portal are available at ytlfoundation.org/applynow.
