In the post, the Brazilian reflected on the memorable moments, hard-fought matches and sacrifices he made while representing Sabah FC.
“I always gave 200 per cent for this club and I will always carry Sabah in my heart,” he wrote.
Peres also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the club’s management and, in particular, the fans who supported him throughout his three-year stint in the Land Below the Wind.
“Thank you to everyone, especially the supporters who always believed in me and treated me so well. I love all the people of Sabah. See you again,” he added.
During his three seasons with Sabah FC, Peres established himself as a key figure in the heart of the defence and became a fan favourite.
Besides his defensive contributions, he was also known for scoring crucial goals from set-piece situations.
His departure is expected to leave a significant void in Sabah FC’s defensive line as the club prepares for the upcoming league campaign.
Peres has yet to announce his next destination.
