SEMPORNA: A local was arrested and a four-wheel-drive (4WD) with 375 litres of diesel were seized in an operation at Kampung Air jetty, here, on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Semporna branch said the suspect was detained by the 22nd Battalion of the General Operations Force (GOF) in Kunak to assist in investigation.

The seizures, including the diesel and 4WD, were worth an estimated RM20,816.25.

The case is being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
