KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Head of State Tun Musa Aman has called upon the people to uphold unity, mutual respect and compassion in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha 1447H/2026.
He urged Sabahans to set aside differences and strengthen cooperation to preserve the state’s long-standing harmony, describing unity as key to continued stability and progress.
Musa said Aidiladha reflects the spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail, stressing that sacrifice extends beyond the korban ritual to include contributions of time, energy and effort for family, society and the nation.
He also encouraged the public to nurture closer ties through visiting, forgiveness and sharing with those in need, while maintaining values of tolerance in Sabah’s multi-racial and multi-religious society.
Musa expressed appreciation to frontliners, civil servants and security personnel, as well as haj pilgrims from Sabah and Malaysia, and reminded Muslims to perform korban sincerely in accordance with syariah.
He also advised the public to prioritise safety during the festive season, especially when travelling.
Musa and his wife conveyed Aidiladha greetings to Muslims, expressing hope for continued peace, unity and blessings.
