Singer Alvy Joanna laments soaring festive airfares to Sabah, Sarawak
Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian singer Alvy Joanna (pic) has taken to Threads to vent her frustration over the soaring cost of domestic flight tickets to Sabah and Sarawak during festive seasons.

In her post, Alvy called out airlines and airport authorities over high airfares, saying tickets to Borneo can cost as much as RM3,000 during peak periods.

She joked that with RM1,000, she could travel overseas instead of flying back to her hometown.

Alvy also shared that her mother had jokingly suggested she go on holiday abroad during the festive season because international flights are sometimes cheaper than domestic travel.
