Race 3 is Sunday’s showpiece event
Sabah Win will be running in Race 1 at Selangor Turf Club.
Kota Kinabalu: Race 3 (Initiation) over 1,000m sand track is the showpiece race tomorrow (Sunday) with as many as four horses expected to scuffle to the wire.

Fight Again and Mountain Ace are early favourites with Ranger Ranch and Simpangan Boy poised to attack hard. Tamparuli Beauty, Delilah and Onxy are battle-hardened warriors to feature prominently.

Race 4 (Initiation) over 1,000m sand track has Lucky Princess as early favourite. Well-prepared and to start at favourable barrier 2, she is eager to put his nemesis Kokorriko to sword.

Classy Magic Opa has ability to go one better after finishing second on April 12.

Cosmobeauté Malaysia and beautyexpo will expand into East Malaysia with the launch of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) from May 25 to 26.
The experienced Putera Sarawak and Marvellous One should be considered for selections. Improving-type Roxette can use this opportunity to prove she can compete at this level.

Race 5 (Class 5) over 1,100m sand track will be fierce contest with Diva Be the One (Ex. Be the One) leading the charge. Brave Guard under season leading jockey Fadzi D is a serious contender with Aqis and Phoenix Rising to be respected.

Sabah Win is to run in Race 1 (Class 5) over 1,275m tomorrow at Selangor Turf Club.

Sabah Win’s recent record has been uninspiring. Against very strong competitors in Boomba, Ganbatte and Prince Lonhro, the realistic expectation for Sabah Win is to show improvement.

Over in Hong Kong, living legend and megastar Romantic Warrior looks invincible under set weights conditions in Race 8 (Group 1) over 2,400m. Coming off an emphatic win in the QEII Cup on April 26 and with regular partner jockey J McDonald on board, Romantic Warrior can cruise to victory.

Race 9 (Class 2) over 1,400m is worth attention with Beauty Bolt taking centre stage. More suited for short distance, she is expected to show vast improvement after last two disappointing runs over 1,800m-2,000m distance.

Six Pack boasts excellent consistency in this class and must be considered a strong contender. Healthy Happy with an inside draw and jockey Nichola Yuen’s 10lb claim suggests a positive showing. Mighty Mast in great form under smart jockey K Teetan can make his presence felt.
