TAWAU: More than 2,000 congregants of Masjid Al-Firdaus in Kg Balung Cocos received an “Aidiladha gift” ahead of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration when the Masjid management received a corporate contribution worth RM50,000 to repair its facilities.

The Masjid chairman, Azeman Rasley, said the contribution would be used to repair the awning that was damaged after being struck by a fallen tree during a storm nearly two years ago.

He said the Masjid management had previously faced difficulties whenever they organising religious programs, community events and Islamic celebrations as they have to rent canopies to accommodate congregants.

“Alhamdulillah, this contribution truly helps us and is greatly welcomed. With this contribution, God willing, we will immediately carry out the repair works for the comfort of the congregants,” he said.
