RANAU: The Crown Prince of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, successfully summited Mount Kinabalu on Wednesday as part of the Mahkota Borneo Expedition.
His Royal Highness began the final ascent from Panalaban at 2.30am and reached the summit about 8.30am following an overnight climb in favourable weather conditions.

After completing the climb, he descended by helicopter from Laban Rata and landed safely in Kundasang around 4pm the same day.
The expedition marked Tengku Hassanal’s first ascent of Mount Kinabalu.
