LABUAN: The Labuan Karate Association continued its strong national showing after winning one gold and four bronze medals at the 34th National Under-14, Cadet, Junior and Under-21 Karate Championship.
The tournament was held from April 30 to May 3 at the Bukit Raja Convention Centre in Klang, Selangor.

A spokesperson said Diya Khalish Kasryanto maintained her dominance by completing a hat-trick of national titles over three consecutive years.
She won the gold medal in the Junior Girls Kumite 16–17 years below 66kg category.
Nur Ariesya Dayana Asmadie and her twin sister, Nur Aleesya Dayana Asmadie, each contributed bronze medals in the Cadet Girls Kumite 14–15 years below 47kg and below 54kg categories respectively.
Dayang Dania Aniezah Zulkifli also secured bronze in the Junior Girls Kumite above 66kg category, while Ayqal Mohd Dzulfadly won bronze in the Boys Under-14 Kumite below 55kg category.
The three female athletes are students of SMK Labuan, while Ayqal studies at SMK Pantai.
Labuan Karate finished 11th out of 34 teams, with 1,026 athletes from across the country taking part in the championship.
The association said the achievement reflects the positive progress and strong potential of Labuan athletes to compete at a higher level in the future.
Meanwhile, the Labuan International Sea Challenge 2026 beach volleyball tournament also concluded, with MBSJ winning the men’s title and Sukma Selangor A emerging champions in the women’s category.
