KUNAK: The installation of utility components, including electricity and water supply, for the new State Library (PNS) Kunak branch building has been approved, but works must be expedited, said Assistant Youth, Sports Development and Creative Economy Minister Datuk Seri Anil Sandhu.
Anil, who is also Kunak Assemblyman, said the matter had received attention following a report by the Daily Express highlighting that the completed building remains idle and overgrown with vegetation as it has yet to begin operations.
“I have been informed that the allocation for utilities, including electricity and water, has been approved and is now awaiting installation. I hope the relevant parties will expedite the works so that the new library building can function as intended,” he told reporters.
