Kota Kinabalu: A 22-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene following a collision with a Toyota Vios along the stretch opposite Bataras Kolombong at about 9pm on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Y Pat Neo Juneor Y Pat Jefferson, was understood to be a hotel worker returning to Kionsom, Inanam, and was identified at the scene by his mother.

The Toyota Vios, driven by a 30-year-old woman, was believed to have been making a U-turn from the Kian Yap Industrial area towards Manggatal.

The motorcycle, travelling from Likas towards Kionsom, collided with the left side of the vehicle.
