KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has called on Community Development Leaders (PPMs) to help the government clearly communicate its achievements to the public, saying many successes remain under-publicised.
He said limited dissemination has allowed issues highlighted on social media, such as water supply, electricity and damaged roads, to overshadow ongoing government efforts and progress.

Hajiji said under the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) development blueprint, the state’s economy has recovered post-Covid-19, with revenue rising from RM4 billion to RM7 billion and reserves exceeding RM8.6 billion.
He also cited strong investor confidence, noting that the Sipitang Oil and Gas Industrial Park (SOGIP) is fully occupied, including a recent RM31 billion investment from Singapore expected to create 6,000 to 7,000 jobs.
He was speaking at the swearing-in and pledge ceremony of 45 newly appointed PPMs at Menara Kinabalu on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister said the State Government will further strengthen development through the upcoming SMJ 2.0 roadmap, focusing on economic growth, infrastructure, human capital development and public well-being, while continuing to raise federal infrastructure issues with the Federal Government.
He urged the PPMs to serve with integrity and act as a bridge between the government and the people by conveying accurate information on policies and programmes.
