He urged the State Government to remain focused on strengthening infrastructure, resolving longstanding issues and further enhancing the welfare and quality of life of the people of Sabah.
“At the same time, Sabah must continue to give emphasis on the importance of attracting quality investments and creating a conducive environment for economic growth.
“The development of key sectors such as manufacturing, tourism and agriculture should be intensified to generate employment opportunities and ensure long-term prosperity for the State,” said Musa.
Above all, he said unity remained Sabah’s greatest strength, describing the State’s religious and ethnic diversity as a blessing that must be preserved and protected.
He also called on the more fortunate to extend a helping hand to the vulnerable and less privileged members of society, particularly during challenging times.
“I also wish to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to members of our security forces who, despite being far away from their families, continue to make great sacrifices in safeguarding our borders and upholding the security and sovereignty of our State and nation.
“Their dedication and service will always be remembered and honoured. Happy New Year and Best wishes to all. May the New Year bring continued progress, prosperity, peace and harmony to Malaysia as a whole, and to Sabah in particular,” he said.
Musa also expressed confidence that with collective effort, wisdom and unity of purpose, Sabah and Malaysia can move forward together towards a brighter future.
