Kota Kinabalu: Warisan President Datuk Shafie Apdal questioned BN deputy chairman Dato’ Mohamad Hasan’s call for Sabah to sign a new Malaysia Agreement to realise the state’s rights and demands instead of the one signed in 1963 involving Britain, Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore. “Why should we have a new Malaysia Agreement when we already passed the Malaysia Agreement 1963 in Parliament to be in the Constitution. Just fulfil the agreement, including the rights and powers of Sabah and Sarawak.
“What is his (Mohd Hasan) meaning, as if they do not recognise the formation of Malaysia. You want Sabah to be out of Malaysia, is it? You don’t recognise the agreement that our forefathers signed?”
