PUTRAJAYA: Two Malaysians, who were among those evacuated on a special flight from Wu,han, China, have been found to be positive to the novel coronavirus, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.
The victims are a man, 45 and his nine-year-old child, said Dzulkefly during a press conference here Wednesday.
Another two Malaysians, who had not cleared their initial health screening upon arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, tested negative to the virus.
The latest update brings the total number of positive cases in Malaysia to 12 comprising nine Chinese nationals and three Malaysians.
The AirAsia flight flew 107 Malaysians and their foreign family members on Feb 4 from Wuhan, the epicentre of the new coronavirus outbreak.
