Kota Kinabalu: Six students from Xceleration Education have been named recipients of the 2024/2025 Pearson Outstanding Learner Awards, placing them among the top performers in international examinations.
Pearson Education Group, UK announced the students achieved the highest marks in their respective subjects in the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE examinations, competing against hundreds of thousands of candidates worldwide.

The six students are among 2,200 awardees from 750 schools across 85 countries this year.
Nicholas Yung Sing Ong secured the highest mark in the world for IGCSE Commerce, while five others achieved the highest marks in Malaysia for their subjects.
Adel Baharuhom and Tengku Adam Tengku Ahmad Fuad both scored highest in Malaysia for IGCSE Chemistry. Daniel Soong Ren Hao topped IGCSE Mathematics A, Selina Jing Mei Tay led in IGCSE Physics and Yi Xuan Ng achieved the highest mark in IGCSE English as a Second Language.
Xceleration Education founder cum principal Dr Lim Lit Way said the results reflect both student dedication and high teaching standards.
“These results are a testament to their hard work and the academic support provided by our faculty. At Xceleration, we remain committed to nurturing excellence and shaping globally competent, values-driven young leaders,” he said.
Lim, who has over 20 years of experience in secondary and pre-university education, said the recognition reinforces Sabah’s growing presence in international education.
The awards ceremony will be held on Nov 27 at Cititel Mid Valley Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
