Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Sihat 2.0 has served as a platform to bring health and wellbeing services closer to the public through health screenings, counselling services, exhibitions and community-based programmes under one roof.
State Women, Health and People's Wellbeing Minister Datuk Julita Majungki said the initiative enabled communities to access information, services and support related to health and family wellbeing more easily while bringing together government agencies and strategic partners to deliver essential services directly to the people.
She said the programme, held near the Likas Sports Complex on Saturday, attracted more than 1,000 participants and featured services including Wellness on Wheels (WOW) by the Sabah State Health Department and the Mobile Family Centre (PKB) operated by the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN).
Various exhibitions and activities were also organised with the participation of government agencies and community organisations, including the Sabah Autism Centre, Cheshire Home and the Sabah Society for the Deaf.
Julita said the State Government remained committed to expanding access to quality health and wellbeing services in line with the Sabah Maju Jaya agenda, adding that health and wellbeing should be viewed holistically through physical, mental and social dimensions.
