Two held over Speedmart fight

KENINGAU: Police have arrested two men following a fight outside 99 Speedmart at One Plaza Keningau recently.

Keningau District Police Chief Supt Yampil Garai said the arrests came after the 22-year-old victim lodged a police report at 12.27am on June 21.

The incident happened between 10.12pm and 10.30pm on June 20. The victim was at the store entrance when a man came down from an entertainment outlet on the upper floor and began kicking the store’s shutter. A fight broke out after the victim confronted the man.

The victim sustained injuries to his head, nose and face.

Police investigations led to the detention of two men, aged 29 and 18, both addressed at Beaufort at about 6.38pm on June 21.

Both admitted to involvement in the incident.

A third suspect remains at large and is being sought by police.
