Police pose as dancers to arrest drug suspect

THA LUANG: Police in Lop Buri here pulled off an unusual sting operation by disguising themselves as dancers to arrest a suspect allegedly linked to drugs and illegal online gambling.

According to The Thaiger, officers blended into the scene before moving in to detain a man identified as Mekha Fa-wap-wap.

Authorities reportedly seized 53 methamphetamine pills, more than 200 small plastic bags believed to have been used for drug distribution, and a mobile phone allegedly linked to illegal online slot machine activities.

The suspect is now facing charges of possession of Category 1 narcotics with intent to sell, as well as operating an unauthorised online gambling platform.
