Mechanic charged with raping minor at homestay
Kota Kinabalu: A 23-year-old mechanic on Monday pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court to a charge of raping a 13-year-old girl.

Lee Jun is accused of committing the offence against the girl, aged 13 years and six months, between 4.30am and 6am on Feb 8 this year at a homestay here.

The charge, under Section 376(2)(d) of the Penal Code, carries a prison sentence of between 10 and 30 years and whipping upon conviction.

Judge Monica Linsua granted Lee bail at RM5,000 in two local sureties and ordered him to surrender his passport and report to the nearest police station monthly.
