TAMPARULI: The family of a couple who was killed in an accident along Jalan Tamparuli-Ranau, near Kampung Kapa, in January, are wondering over the glaring difference in handling such cases in the peninsula and in Sabah.
They note that while action was taken within 48 hours in a similar incident in the Klang Valley, no action has been taken yet against the driver in the Sabah case even after nearly 100 days.
In the peninsula the Attorney-General even defended initiating murder charges against the driver, citing dashcam evidence as justification.
Family member, Mollyniah Joannes, 44, said they are disappointed that the Sabah case appears to have gone quiet despite widespread attention, including a dashcam video that went viral.
