Kota Kinabalu: Hilton Kota Kinabalu has launched its ‘Oriental Delicacies’ Chinese dinner buffet, set to run until July this year.
Urban Kitchen Chef de Cuisine (CDC) Anuar Angkanon said the buffet is held every Thursday from 6.30pm to 10pm, offering guests a weekly selection of Chinese-inspired dishes.
He explained that the menu was carefully curated based on popular local preferences. “I designed the menu around what people in Kota Kinabalu enjoy, focusing on familiar and well-loved Chinese dishes to ensure a satisfying dining experience,” he said on Thursday.
The spread includes Mongolian-style dishes, noodle soups, chicken herbal soup, and tom yum for spice lovers. Deep-fried options feature prawn, fish, and chicken tempura.
Main courses include Yangzhou fried rice, Hokkien mee, flower crab kam heong, prawns with Chongqing sauce, and Kung Pao dishes.
The carving station offers roast beef, Peking duck, and salmon, while Teochew-style steamed barramundi stands out as a highlight.
Guests can also enjoy a seafood-on-ice section with prawns, mussels, and scallops, along with sushi, cheese platters, and Chinese salads such as jellyfish, lotus root, beetroot, and young mango.
Desserts include a range of sweet treats, with red bean broth and glutinous rice balls as a highlight.
The buffet is priced at RM138 nett per adult and RM78 nett per child, with a Buy 4 Free 1 promotion.
For April, a special rate of RM98 nett per adult and RM50 nett per child is available.
