Kota Kinabalu: About 1,500 people took part in the “Riadah Perpaduan Bersama Sabah Head of State, Tun Musa Aman” programme at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex on Saturday.
The event began with a light exercise session, followed by a walk around the lake garden area within the complex led by Musa together with participants.
Musa also tried traditional sports such as archery, blowpipe shooting and slingshot, before visiting exhibitions organised by the Sabah Sports Board and the Sabah State Sports Council.
He also took time to meet the Sabah women’s football team.
During the event, a cake-cutting ceremony was held in conjunction with the Head of State’s 75th official birthday celebration in a simple and harmonious setting, followed by light refreshments with the public.
Among those present were Youth Development, Sports and Creative Economy Minister Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan; Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin; Youth Development, Sports and Creative Economy Assistant Minister Datuk Seri Dr Anil Sandhu; Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Mohd Razali Wahab; and Kota Kinabalu City Hall Mayor Datuk Seri Dr Sabin Samitah.
