TAWAU: A 25-year-old woman was killed in a road accident after the car she was travelling in skidded off the road in Bandar Sri Indah here on Friday.

The incident, involving a Perodua Kenari, was reported at 12.26pm, with fire and rescue personnel from the Tawau station arriving at the scene at 12.45pm.

The victim had been extricated by Ministry of Health personnel prior to the arrival of firefighters and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The body was subsequently handed over to police for further action, while fire personnel conducted monitoring to ensure there were no further hazards.

The operation, involving six personnel under operations commander PBK I Zougrana Konin, was brought under control and fully concluded at 1.22pm.
