Kuala Lumpur: AirAsia has confirmed that no injuries were reported among passengers or crew following an incident involving flight AK720 from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.

In a statement, the low-cost airline said the flight landed safely at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 2 at 10.22 pm on April 4, after a section of the hose from a cabin panel became loose and dislodged during the landing.

AirAsia said the aircraft had undergone all required maintenance checks prior to departure, including routine 36-hour inspections involving both visual and physical assessments, and had met all preflight safety requirements.

“AirAsia’s engineering team conducted a thorough inspection upon landing to ensure the affected panel was safe and properly secured,” it said.
