Kota Kinabalu: Cement Industries (Sabah) Sdn Bhd (CIS) donated 30 boxes of Hari Raya cookies, worth RM22,000, to frontline personnel, including security forces and healthcare workers, ahead of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
CIS Chairman Datuk Japlin Akim presented the cookies to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor during a handover ceremony at Menara Kinabalu on Tuesday.
He said the contribution is part of CIS’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to recognise the dedication and sacrifices of frontline personnel who remain on duty during the festive season.
“Their service in safeguarding the peace and well-being of the people is deeply appreciated,” he said, adding that the contribution aims to enliven Hari Raya celebrations for those on duty.
Japlin also reiterated CIS’ commitment to supporting community development initiatives through CSR programmes benefiting the people of Sabah.
At the same event, Hajiji received Hari Raya essential items from ministries, departments, and government-linked companies (GLCs), which were then distributed to 15 security agencies and healthcare personnel groups.
