LABUAN: Member of Parliament Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman doubts the Parti Peribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s (Bersatu) constitutional amendments and subsequent decision to terminate his party membership will have any effect on his parliamentary seat.

It is unlikely that Suhaili would react to any dismissal notice from the party as there is no precedence to rely on that once a party membership has been terminated, the member has to vacate his MP seat as these are separate matters.
The other issue is whether the amendments were valid for application on backdated cases.
