LAHAD DATU: Commander of Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom), DCP Datuk Victor Sanjos urged all Esscom members to work together in ensuring that the Eastern Sabah
Security Zone (Esszone) is not only a safe but prosperous destination to be visited by all also enjoy sustainable economic growth.

Victor in his speech during Esscom’s 11th Anniversary celebration, hoping that the commitment and cooperation of EsscomM members, security forces, department and agencies in Esszone would continue to be strengthened to preserve the nation’s sovereignty and public order.
Looking back to the establishment of Esscom following the intrusion incident 11 years ago, Victor said, it was a critical decision taken at that time.
“However, it turns out that the decision was accurate and led to the best impact today, especially in terms of political, economy, social as well as sketching Esscom’s establishment history,” he said.
Therefore, Victor urged all Esscom members to remain committed in carrying out their duties and responsibilities with full professionalism and integrity to ensure that Esszone remains safe, peaceful, prosperous and sovereign.

This is also to further maintaining the record of zero kidnappings since Jan 15, 2020 until now, he said.
“I would love to emphasise that Esscom is committed to restored Esszone’s image as a prosperous zone and proposed to the government to change Esszone map which is marked in red colour, to white colour as the prosperous symbol of Esszone,” he said.

Meanwhile, Esscom Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Dr Jamaluddin Mohd Ali expressed his appreciation and congratulations to Esscom members for the joint efforts in making Esscom an excellent agency.
During the ceremony, Victor and Jamaluddin presented appreciation certificates to Esscom’s strategic partners in Esszone.
