Regas unveils BYD Seal in Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: Regas EV Sabah unveiled the BYD Seal in the State Capital, showcasing its cutting-edge technology, unparalleled power and sleek design.
This ground breaking electric vehicle (EV) is set to revolutionise the automotive landscape in Sabah and beyond, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable transportation.

“We are thrilled to introduce the BYD Seal to our customers in Sabah,” said Regas EV Sabah Principal Dealer, Joseph Tan at Regas EV Sabah’s soft launching of the BYD Seal, in Kolombong, here, Tuesday.
Also present were Regas EV Group Chairman Datuk Aloysius Tan, Managing Director Datuk Matthew Tan, Elizabeth Tan and Theresa Tan.
“With its combination of innovation, power and style, the BYD Seal represents the future of electric mobility,” said Joseph.
“We believe that this vehicle will redefine the way people think about electric cars and inspire more individuals to embrace sustainable transportation solutions,” he said.

He also shared achievements of BYD, a leading Chinese automaker, in the field of new energy vehicles.
“Based in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, BYD has emerged as the world’s top new energy vehicle manufacturer, showcasing its commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship,” he said.

He also talked about the challenges facing Sabah, particularly the insufficient infrastructure for charging EVs in Kota Kinabalu.
Recognising the importance of addressing this issue, he highlighted the efforts of Regas EV Sabah, which currently offers complimentary EV charging for customers who purchase their vehicles.
“This initiative allows EV owners to conveniently charge their cars at home, helping to alleviate some of the concerns surrounding the lack of public charging stations,” he said.

Key features of the BYD Seal includes innovative technology equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the BYD Seal offers advanced connectivity features, intuitive controls and smart functionalities, ensuring a seamless driving experience.
This electric sports sedan is offered in two variants which is BYD Seal RWD Premium and BYD Seal Performance AWD, with retail prices starting from RM183, 300 and RM203, 300.
Their respective 0 – 100 km/h sprint times are 5.9 seconds and 3.8 seconds respectively, and driving range can be up to 650km and 580km respectively (based on the NEDC cycle).
