MELANIE Chin, founder of “The Other Side” speakeasy bar cum Ultramarine KK Art Gallery curator, said Daily Express has long been a quiet but steady supporter of the arts and that the event was a natural extension of that commitment.

“I think it is amazing that Daily Express is willing to support creative conversations like this,” she said, noting that the paper had consistently backed Ultramarine’s artists by giving them a platform and a voice. 

“Sometimes all we need is an extra hand and it may seem really small, but I think the impact will be really big. 

“On behalf of the artists, I really appreciate the work that Daily Express is trying to do,” she said.
