Energy sector growth, jobs discussed during courtesy call

Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun was briefed on developments in Sabah’s energy sector and potential investment opportunities during a courtesy call by representatives of Kinara Energy and Shandong Yingbao of China.

Masidi, who is also Finance Minister, received the delegation at his office and was updated by Kinara Energy Executive Vice President Francis Jepiuh and Managing Director Sylvester Linus.

The meeting also discussed opportunities to create more jobs for Sabahans through the companies’ involvement in development and energy industry projects in the State.

Also present were Shandong Yingbao Chairman Zhang Yueling, Chief Executive Officer Lyu Binchang and other company representatives.
