Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor welcomed strategic cooperation opportunities with Norway during a meeting with Norway Ambassador to Malaysia Marianne Fosland at Menara Kinabalu here, on Tuesday.
He said Sabah remains committed to the sustainable development agenda and welcomes cooperation in green economy, renewable energy, tourism and technology development.
The meeting also discussed promoting Sabah as a world-class ecotourism destination and enhancing tourism cooperation between Europe and Sabah.
Accompanying Fosland was Deputy Head of Mission Knutt Granli.
Hajiji also received a courtesy call from Ukraine Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Hennadii Nadolenko, describing it as a symbol of friendship between Ukraine and Sabah.
He said Sabah is open to strengthening international relations, particularly in trade, education, investment and economic development.
He added that the State Government hopes the relationship will create more mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities.
