(pic) said Sabah continues to exemplify harmony in diversity, where mutual respect among people of different faiths and cultures remains a way of life.
The former three-term Kota Belud Member of Parliament and current Sabah Umno treasurer said there is no room for prejudice or polemics in Sabah’s multicultural society as communities continue to uphold their individual beliefs while strengthening relationships across faiths and cultures.
In a Facebook posting in conjunction with Aidiladha celebrations, Salleh said it was heartwarming to receive Hari Raya Aidiladha greetings from friends of different faiths as it reflected genuine friendship and mutual respect.
He said Sabahans also extended greetings and goodwill during various religious and cultural celebrations, adding that respecting others did not weaken one’s beliefs but instead reflected the maturity and strength of a society that values harmony and shared humanity.
Salleh said Aidiladha serves as a reminder of the beauty of respect, understanding and togetherness among the people, adding: “Eid Mubarak. May the spirit of sacrifice strengthen our bonds and unity.”
