In a statement, Artini said she was relinquishing her positions as Sabah PKR women’s deputy chief, Tuaran PKR women’s chief, and PKR coordinator for the Sulaman state constituency.
She said she had submitted an application to cancel her membership via the party’s Adil system.
“Thank you for the space and opportunity previously given to me to serve the community. I also hope this decision will not sever ties between myself and friends who are still in PKR,” she said.
PKR youth executive committee member Haziq Azfar Ishak also announced his resignation from the party as well as his position as Tanjong Malim PKR youth chief with immediate effect.
He said PKR and Pakatan Harapan’s delays in delivering reforms were eroding public confidence, particularly among young and first-time voters.

“The concern among many is that PKR has become a party that defends the status quo on the grounds of practicality and excessive compromise, contrary to the fundamental principles it has fought for all this while,” Haziq said.
“The perception is that all politicians and parties are the same.”
On Monday, Tuaran PKR chief Razeef Rakimin also announced his resignation from the party with immediate effect, a day after former senior leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said they were taking over Parti Bersama Malaysia. - FMT
