Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 1.0 Development Plan achieved a 94.08 per cent implementation rate over the five-year period from 2021 to September 2025.

(pic) said the achievement reflected the State Government’s commitment to delivering the best for the wellbeing of the people and development of Sabah.
“A full report on the SMJ 1.0 plan has been presented to the Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Musa Aman. At the same time, we also presented the SMJ 2.0 plan to chart a new chapter over the next five years.
“We also exchanged views with Musa regarding the SMJ 2.0 Plan to ensure that the development agenda we have outlined is more focused on the wellbeing of the people and on boosting Sabah’s economy to a more advanced level,” he said after a courtesy call on Musa at Istana Seri Kinabalu.
He said one of the key focuses of SMJ 2.0 is to place special emphasis on youth by harnessing their potential to contribute to the State.
Apart from submitting the full report on the achievements of the SMJ 1.0 development plan, the visit was also aimed at obtaining advice from Musa on the SMJ 2.0 plan to ensure it delivers a positive impact on the people and the State.

Also present were Senior Assistant Director (People’s Wellbeing and Transformation), Mohd Izwan Izzuddin Ramlan; Senior Assistant Director (Initiative Management), Faridah Ilah; Assistant Director (Initiative Management), Mohd Shafiq Abdullah Salleh; and Assistant Director (Special Officer to the Coordinating Chief Executive Officer), Alorenso Sampaladon.
The SMJ 1.0 development plan (2021-2025) was officially launched by the Sabah Chief Minister on March 29, 2021, while the SMJ 2.0 development plan (2026-2030) was launched on Jan 30, 2026.
