KUDAT: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says Malaysia’s digital transformation and AI policies must go beyond Kuala Lumpur and major institutions to reach grassroots communities nationwide.
He stressed expanding access across districts, especially for rural, poor and remote populations, to avoid widening the gap between urban elites and underserved groups.

Speaking in Kudat, he said the MADANI government aims to ensure digital development creates knowledge, skills and opportunities for all, not inequality.
He cited Pulau Banggi’s NADI centre, which won an international WSIS award, as proof that even remote communities can excel in digital development with proper support, calling it a model to inspire others.
