SANDAKAN: A study will be carried out on the suitability of installing a solar energy system at Masjid Darus Salam, Kampung Bahagia, as part of efforts to improve mosque facilities.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said the proposal will be assessed to ensure its effectiveness and long-term sustainability.
He said the ministry has previously developed several mosque models equipped with solar systems, some of which have received awards.
He added that there are already existing examples of mosques under the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) that utilise solar energy systems.
