THE Sabah Immigration Department repatriated 166 Filipinos through a scheduled repatriation programme via the State’s sea entry point, Tuesday (pic).
The programme involved 118 men, 20 women, 12 boys and 16 girls who had completed legal procedures in Malaysia and received verified travel documents from their embassy.
Sabah Immigration Director Datuk SH Sitti Saleha Habib Yusoff said all the Filipinos were transferred to their original destination via Lahad Datu port.
SH Sitti Saleha said up to 2,183 foreigners have been transferred back to their country of origin under the programme up to Tuesday.
The department reminds the public to remain attentive within their communities and to not protect or hire illegal immigrants.
